Remote Reality company Orqa raised $1.7M seed funding led by Day One Capital to enable teleoperation of unmanned systems over 5G

Orqa is a Croatia-based engineering powerhouse and a pioneer of Remote Reality, developing solutions enabled by low latency video transmission for consumer, public safety, and defense industries, founded in 2018 by Vlatko Matijević, Srđan Kovačević and Ivan Jelušić.
With 50 people strong engineering team, and offices in Osijek (Croatia), and Washington DC (US), Orqa is developing technology blocks that enable remote operation and FPV (first-person view) video transmission over direct radio links and public mobile networks using 5G broadband cellular networks, including the development of solutions on camera SoCs and special Remote Reality video headsets.
"Over the past years, we witnessed Orqa leverage their profound engineering curiosity to build a scalable product portfolio in the FPV segment. High-resolution low latency video transmission is in the dawn of its breakthrough, fueled by wider 5G adoption. The founders are focusing on all the right things to lead the way for remote reality which enables them to capture a rapidly growing consumer market with industrial, civil and defense application potential. We could not be more excited to support the team." said Csaba Kákosy, managing partner at Day One Capital.
