Zsolt is presently serving as a Partner at Day One Capital, where he leads early-stage venture capital investments spanning Central Eastern Europe. His influence extends to serving on the Board of companies such as Colossyan , Recart, Webshippy, and Miros. Zsolt also serves as a Board Member of the Hungarian Venture Capital Association since 2020, contributing significantly to Hungary's venture capital ecosystem.
Before becoming a professional investor, Zsolt played a pivotal role in shaping Hungary's earlystage startup scene. Co-founding Valley Connect in 2011, one of Hungary's initial seed investment programs, he nurtured startups from their inception to successful acquisitions. Notably, Distinction Ltd, a member of the first cohort, achieved significant success with its acquisition by Skyscanner in 2014. Zsolt's commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs led to the establishment of the White Summers Cofounder Program in 2014, providing pre-seed investment and comprehensive business advice. Through this initiative, he became the first investor in Shapr3D Inc, contributing to its growth as an iPadPro flagship app and full scale multi-platform CAD solution.
Zsolt's extensive journey also includes a significant period as the Managing Director of IFS Hungary from 2001 to 2018, where he led the local branch of a global ERP vendor. During his tenure, he achieved substantial growth, expanding the team from 5 to 50 employees and quintupling revenue.
Zsolt's educational background includes an MS from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MBA from Ohio University, and MSC degree from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Pécs. With over 15 years of experience in venture capital, startups, and enterprise software, Zsolt brings a unique perspective to the intersection of innovation, investment, and business leadership.
